Who it's for and where it runs.
What is LiftNlog?
+
LiftNlog is an RPE-based autoregulation app for powerlifters. You log your sets, RPE, and technique after each session, and the app recalculates what your next squat, bench, and deadlift session prescribes. The programming model comes from RTS (Reactive Training Systems) autoregulation.
Who is LiftNlog for?
+
LiftNlog is for powerlifters and strength athletes who run a squat, bench, and deadlift block and want RPE-based autoregulation instead of a fixed percentage spreadsheet. It suits serious recreational lifters and competitors. You do not need to be advanced, but you must train the three lifts with intent.
What platforms will LiftNlog be on?
+
iOS and Android, at the same time. We notify everyone on the first.
What the engine reads, and what it does with it.
What is RPE, and why does LiftNlog use it?
+
RPE (rate of perceived exertion) is a 1–10 rating of how hard a set felt. RPE 8 means about two reps were left. LiftNlog compares the RPE you log against the target RPE for each set. That comparison drives how your weights change.
How is RPE different from RIR?
+
They describe the same thing from opposite ends. RIR (reps in reserve) counts up from zero, so 2 RIR means two reps left. RPE counts down from 10, so RPE 8 also means two reps left. RPE 8 and 2 RIR are the same set. LiftNlog uses the RPE scale because it extends cleanly to partial ratings like RPE 8.5.
How does the autoregulation work?
+
Each session's weights and sets adjust to how you performed. They are not locked in weeks ahead. When you log how a set felt, your next top set and back-off weights increase or decrease, not by a fixed percentage table. Your recent estimated 1RM (e1RM) drives the next session, not a max you tested months ago. The Features page covers how this works.
Do I need to know RTS or autoregulation theory to use it?
+
No. You log weight, reps, and RPE after each set, and LiftNlog does the autoregulation math for you. The theory helps you rate sets more accurately, but it is not a prerequisite.
What LiftNlog actually programs for you.
Which lifts and exercises does it program?
+
LiftNlog programs the main squat, bench, and deadlift work, plus accessories. Each accessory has a real rep range, a progression method, and swap-in alternates, not only a name. See Features for how loading, tapering, and accessories fit together.
Does LiftNlog handle peaking and tapering for a meet?
+
Yes. A training block moves through real phases: accumulation, intensification, deload, and peak week. Volume and RPE decrease on a prescribed schedule as you approach the peak. Autoregulation and structured periodization work together here, not against each other.
Does it keep my training history?
+
Yes. LiftNlog stores and charts every e1RM and every set you log, per lift. You see the trend behind today's number, not only the number.
